Jace Mitchell
Founder & Owner
After furnishing his first apartment, Jace saw how hard it could be to find furniture that fit both a home and a budget. That experience inspired him to start selling furniture in 2022 and build Big Comfy Couches into a place where people could get personal help finding new furniture they love.
Raised on Lookout Mountain and now living in Ooltewah, Jace brings a local, down-to-earth approach to the store. His goal is simple: treat you like a friend, understand what you need, and help you stay within your budget.
Jerry Douglas
Floor Associate
Originally from Rhea County, Jerry has been part of Big Comfy Couches since we opened. His greatest strength is understanding what each customer needs and wants, then helping them find furniture that fits their home, style, and budget.
Customers appreciate Jerry’s friendliness, product knowledge, and relaxed, no-pressure approach.
Outside the showroom, Jerry enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and trying different restaurants.
Danny Engle
Delivery Expert
Originally from Rossville, Georgia, Danny has been part of Big Comfy Couches for four years. He is known for carefully protecting customers’ furniture, skillfully moving pieces through challenging spaces, and arranging everything exactly where it needs to go.
Customers appreciate Danny’s friendliness, speed, and the care he puts into every delivery.
Outside of work, Danny enjoys playing video games, hanging out with his best friend Jace, and trying new restaurants with him.
